University of Novi Sad, Serbia – coordinator

The University of Novi Sad (UNS), with around 50,000 students and 5,000 staff members, is one of the largest educational and research centers in Central Europe and the second largest university in the Republic of Serbia. It belongs to the group of comprehensive universities, which are characterised by providing nearly all fields of science and study. UNS offers more than 350 accredited study programs at the level of Bachelor, Master, Specialist and Doctoral studies, carried out at its 14 Faculties and within the University Center for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies and Research. Research activities, also conducted at 3 scientific Institutes have a significant role in creating a strong scientific base for the process of continuous modernisation and internationalisation of the educational offer of UNS and its already recognisable international profile. UNS’s particular strengths can be found in these areas: Information Technologies, Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Robotics, Sport Science, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Agriculture, Mathematics and Computer Science.

Universita Politecnica Della Marche in Ancona, Italy – partner

Universita Politecnica Della Marche in Ancona (UnivPM) is a public institution with a mainly technical-scientific vocation. It was founded in 1969 and its headquarters is located in the city of Ancona. Its study courses are included in 5 academic areas: Engineering, Economics, Agriculture, Medicine and Science. Since the first academic year in 1969-1970, the student population has constantly increased, from the starting 290 to about 17,000 today. The teaching and administrative staff amount to about 550 people for each category. Seven out of its twelve departments have been declared “Excellence Departments” by the Italian National Agency for University and Research Evaluation (ANVUR). The Permanent Secretariat of the UniAdrion association is located in Ancona and hosted at Marche Polytechnic University. The main purpose of UniAdrion is the collaboration between universities and research centres with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and favouring the progress of culture, science, training and research.

Universitatea „1 Decembrie 1918” din Alba Iulia, Romania – partner

Universitatea 1 Decembrie 1918 in Alba Iulia (UAB) is a public higher education institution with a background in internationalisation of higher education spanning more than a decade, through its successive internationalization strategies. UAB has 27 bachelor degree programs and 26 master degree programs, as well as for PhD. Program studies both in Romanian and in English, that cover a wide range of subject areas from theology, philology and arts to engineering, social sciences and economics, programs that are meant to ensure that the main role of the University in the wider region of Alba County is to push forward sustainable development and the integration in the European society through its values, shared goals of tolerance, democratic and civic participation, diversity and integration. Currently having more than 5,400 students, UAB has up to 500 international students from 20 countries mainly from Africa, the Middle East and Asia, as well as incoming students from Erasmus Program countries and partner countries not associated to the Program.

University of Split – partner

University of Split, UNIST is a comprehensive scientific and teaching institution, consisting of 11 Faculties, 1 Academy of Arts and 4 Departments. There are around 20,000 students enrolled in its undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programmes (181 programs in total). UNIST employs approximately 1,700 persons, including academic and administrative staff. The focus of the research work carried out is on disciplines characterized by natural, cultural, historical, social, economic and other features of the region as a part of the Croatian Adriatic and the Mediterranean region as a whole. This involves research and protection of art and construction heritage, philology, field crops, oceanography and fishing, Adriatic botany and zoology, island and coastal economy, Adriatic tourism, maritime law, nautical science, naval architecture and a range of other specific disciplines such as chemical engineering, civil engineering, architecture, electrical and mechanical engineering, social sciences, kinesiology, humanities, health sciences, forensics.

Qualification Agency – partner

The Government of the Republic of Serbia established the Qualifications Agency (QA) on September 7, 2018, based on Article 14, Paragraph 1 of the Law on the National Framework of Qualifications of the Republic of Serbia (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 27/2018). The QA consists of the following organisational units: – Center for development of qualifications and support to the sector councils of NQFS – ENIC/NARIC center for recognition of foreign primary and secondary education documents and recognition of foreign higher education documents for the purpose of employment – Center for accreditation of publicly recognized organizers of Adult education activities Through the project proposal, this partner, the QA, will be further referred to as the ENIC/NARIC center, as this will be the unit engaged in project activities. The ENIC/NARIC center is an organisational unit of the QA that implements the process of recognising foreign school documents. The procedure for the recognition of foreign school documents is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on the National Framework of Qualifications of the Republic of Serbia, unless an international agreement stipulates otherwise.
